A great advantage of the Content Management System (CMS) is that it supports a user system which allows any number of users to login to accomplish pre-determined tasks.  Some users could be allowed to view special content while other users could have privileges to modify and add content.  Sitting above all other  users is the superuser who controls the entire system and determines what other users can and cannot access.  So for your purposes several people could be allowed to login to the website just like you would a hotmail or yahoo account and make changes to content in an editor very similar to an email editor.  All of this can be accomplished without any special software on the users computer by simply going to a page on the website and logging in from any internet connected computer with a web browser.
