Company History
In 1996 Fontis Publishing began as a micro-publisher specializing in short run fiction (under the imprint Sunflower Productions) and documentary film making with the short documentary Pioneer Historian: The Ted Sallows Story. By 1998 the direction had shifted and the primary publication was Adventures In English, an ESL publication geared towards University level English language learners. From 1998 to 2002 three editions of Adventures in English were produced. In 2003 Fontis Publishing's founder began producing customized English Language Training programs for summer camps and corporate training programs. September 2005 saw the launch of TALL ESL Magazine (a periodical ESL Magazine targeted at high-school and university learners). In 2006, Textbook Direct, the custom ESL textbook program moved online with the intent of providing custom designed ESL textbooks to Universities, Schools and private education institutes. In 2007 Fontis Publishing has seen enormous growth with an influx of exciting projects in Publishing, Marketing and Video Production. The company is now more than just a boutique publishing house and has grown into a full fledged production and marketing business. Welcome to the future of publishing.
